Established pursuant to the requirements under section 3 of the Atomic Energy and Radiation Protection Act,
Act No 5 of 2005
The Vision of the Board is the long-term management of Namibia’s nuclear and radioactive materials in a manner
that safeguards people and respects and protects the environment, now and in the future
The Mission of the Board is to ensure that through the provision of appropriate advice, the use of radiation
and nuclear energy in Namibia does not cause unacceptable impact on the health of workers,
members of the public and on the environment
